Portrait of Jay Sanders, founder of Build Something

Jay Sanders

Jay has spent more than a decade building businesses, and his path into technology started in logistics.

While operating in the trucking industry, he kept running into problems that existing tools weren't solving. Instead of waiting for someone else to fix them, he started building his own systems around the way the business actually operated.

That experience eventually led to Yard Linkr, a truck parking marketplace built around a problem Jay knew firsthand: helping fleets and drivers find reliable places to park while helping property owners turn available space into opportunity.

Along the way, Jay learned that some of the best technology doesn't start with a clever idea. It starts with a real problem somebody is already dealing with.

That philosophy became the foundation for Build Something, where Jay and his team build websites, apps, custom software, automations, AI agents and internal systems around what businesses actually need.

Today, Jay continues building Yard Linkr, working with businesses through Build Something, experimenting with technology, testing ideas, making mistakes, solving problems and documenting what he learns along the way.
